RHOAD, Kenneth A. Kenneth "Dusty" A. Rhoad, 82, of Venice, FL., died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005 in Venice, Fl. He was the husband of Mary T. (Esposito) Rhoad, married for 35 years. He was born July 2, 1923 in Areola, PA to Kenneth and Mary Leiper Rhoad of Phoenixville, PA. Before moving to Venice 12 years ago he was a resident of Cherry Hill, NJ where he was employed by Computer Sciences Corp. of Moorestown, NJ as a computer weapon systems specialist, retiring after 22 years. Prior to that, he served in the U.S. Navy as a career naval officer from 1944 to 1966, retiring as a Lt. Commander. During this period, he served as a naval aviator on board various aircraft carriers as well as other assignments including flight instructor, computer programmer, and systems specialist. His tours of duty included assignments to Naval Bases in San Diego, CA, Brunswick, GA, Virginia Beach and Norfolk, VA, Pensacola, FL, Great Lakes Naval Air Station, IL. Dusty was an avid gardener and prided himself on his orchids and beautiful tropical garden in Venice as well as his vegetable and flower garden on Long Beach Island, NJ where he and his wife Mary spent their summers. They enjoyed traveling and spent special times with their many friends and family members in this country and abroad. In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by his four children of a previous marriage, Gail A. Gallardo, Mary Anne Hoefert and Susan W. Loft, all of San Diego, CA and Kenneth Rhoad III of Virginia Beach, VA; his sisters Mary Rhoad DuJaney of Bridgeport, CT, Harriet Rhoad Swanson of State College, PA, Ida Rhoad Wrenn of Madison, WI and his brother Edwards L. Rhoad of Falls Church, VA, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren as well as numerous nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his brother George W. Rhoad of Phoenixville, PA. A memorial service will be held at St. Marks Episcopal Church, 508 Riviera St., Venice at 10:00 AM Thursday Nov. 17th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Naval Aviation Museum Foundation, 1750 Radford Blvd., Suite B, NAS Pensacola, FL, 32508 (850-453-2389). ROSS, Richard Donald Died at home on 111305 at the age of 77. Author and editor of numerous technical publications in the field of Chemical Engineering, specifically combustion, incineration and pollution control. 1951 Graduate Drexel University. Founder and President of several environmental consulting organizations, lastly 60 Enviromental, Inc. Beloved husband of Barbara Judah Ross, loving father of Patricia Ross, Bruce Ross and Laurent Ross and wife, Mercedes. Grandfather of Tadina and Machel Ross, stepfather of Allison Judah. Also survived by his brother, Samuel Ross and wife, Dorothy, Carlisle, PA; and cousins, Elizabeth Welch and Jane Crandall. Memorial Service Wednesday, November 30, at 12 o'clock noon, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 318 Chester Ave., Moorestown, NJ. Interment private.
