1 OBITUARIES MRS. ZEPHRIE QUEEN Mrs. Zephrie Queen, 57, Republican County Committeewoman for Winslow Township, Thursday in Cooper Hospital. Mrs. Queen, who resided at Crosskeys rd.

Albion, was active in Republican circles and a member of the Rosary Society of Mount Carmel Church of Berlin and the Society of St. Joan of Are of St. Lawrence Church of Laurel Springs. Surviving are her husband, Harry two daughters, Mrs. Emily Clark of Philadelphia, and Mrs.

Carolyn Qualles of Pember. ton; a brother, James Wroten of Moorestown, and a half-brother Coleman Sykes of Brooklyn, N.Y., and six grandchildren. Friends will meet her late residence Wednesday in. Requiem Mass will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, White Horse Berlin, at 10 a.m. There will be a viewing in the residence tonight.

Burial will be in Eden Cemetery, Philadelphia. WILLIAM V. FRIEL William V. Friel of 100 Paris Audubon, died Saturday, He was retired from the Internal Revenue Service office, Philadelphia, and was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Eleanor; four sons, Francis of Cinnaminson, and Hugh, William and John of Philadelphia; three daughters, Mrs.

Alice Riley and Mrs. Jeannette McCormick of Philadelphia and Mrs. Teresa Melia in Turkey; a brother, Harry of Beechwood; a sister, Mrs. Charles Reifsnyder of Philadelphia, and seventeen grandchildren. Solemn Mass of requiem will be sung at 9:30 a a.m.

Thursday in the Church of St. Rose of Lima, Haddon Heights. Friends will meet at a.m. in the John A. Healey Funeral Home, 9 White Horse Haddon Heights, where a viewing will be conducted Wednesday night.

Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, Pa. MRS. ALICE ANTHONY Services for Mrs. Alice Anthony, 91, of Bayside, N.Y., a former resident of Camden, were held today in Harleigh Cemetery. Mrs.

Anthony moved from Camden 60 years ago, Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Helen Bayliss of Brewster, a son, Leon of Bellaire, N.Y.; a grandson and a great-grandson. Defers! Decision on Swanson Status City Administrator Borstein said today that he is reserving decision on the status of a suspended works department employe following a departmental hearing Monday. J. James Swanson, former deputy director of public and suspended April 30 as supervisor of water meter readers and inspectors, was represented at the hearing in Borstein's office Meyer Sakin, counsel for Council 10.

Civil Service. Employes. According to Borstein, who filed the charges and conducted the hearing, Swanson pleaded not guilty. The charges were filed against him following a city council probe of the city dump operation last October. Seven witnesses appeared at the hearing which was closed to the press: Borstein did not indicate when he would announce his decision.

The city administrator said the hearing was closed at the request est of Swanson and his attorney. Sakin told the Courier-Post he that it be closed when he entered the administrator's office and found all the witnesses there. "I didn't want them listening to one another's testimony," Sakin said. All were arrested at the Food Basket in the Merchantville Farmer's Cherry Hill, between April 28 and Sunday. Alice Zabrowska, 78, listed at 915 Fulton Cherry was fined $25 for shoplifting Saturday in the Strawbridge and Clothier Store in Cherry Hill Mall. Klein also fined Evelyn M. McCleery, 20, listed at 9 Cassner Cherry Hill, and Melvin C.

Fowler, 20, listed at 29 S. Maple Marlton, $25 each for speeding. FRANK W. THOMPSON Frank W. Thompson, 55, of 71 Berlin Clementon, died Monday in his home from an apparent heart attack.

He operated the Valley Food Market in Clementon, and was a member of St. Paul's, Springs. Presbyterian At time Church, he one was employed by the Public Service Coordinated Transport. Surviving are his wife, Margaret three sons, Edward J. at home, William J.

of Woodbury, and Richard F. of Audubon; a daughter, Mrs. Anthony Caporelli of West' Berlin; a sister, Mrs. Lenus Adams of Dayton, Ohio, and six grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m, in the Ora L.

Wooster Funeral Home, 51 Park Clementon, where friends may call Wednesday night. Burial will be in Brotherhood Cemetery, Williamstown. GUISEPPI SARICA PAULSBORO-Guiseppi Sarica, 85, of 78 Pennline died Saturday. He was a retired watchman for the Superior Coat Co. and an Army veteran of World War I.

Surviving are his wife, Giovanna; a son, Anthony Sr. of boro; two daughters, Mrs. Theresa Ficara and Mrs. Fortunata Benne, both of Paulsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Brena Marino of Paulsboro and Mrs.

Giovanna Sarica of Italy; eleven grandchiland twenty-two great-grandchildren. Friends will meet Wednesday at 8 a.m. in a funeral home at 300 W. Broad st. Requiem high Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m.

in St. John's Church. There, will be a viewing tonight the funeral home. Burial will be in New St. Joseph's Cemetery, Swedesboro.

SHUTE WOODBURY, Laurel Charles Wilbert here. A native of Oak Grove, Gloucester County, he lived here five years. Surviving are his wife, Cora; two sons, George of Brooklawn, and William of Magnolia; one daughter, Mrs. Mae Simpson of Woodbury; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Owen of Clarksboro; seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He was a stationary engineer for the Armour Co. of Philadelphia and a member of Chapter 1, National Association of Power Engineers. Surviving are his wife, Edytha; and five brothers and two sisters, all of England, Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.

A native of Ellenville, N.Y., he lived here many years. He was a member of the Relief Fire Company and the Baptist Church, both of Mount Holly. He was a salesman having been employed by Dugan's Bakery, Surviving are his wife, Lottie two daughters, Mrs. William Lindenman of Pleasantville, N.Y., and Mrs. Olive Johnson of Washnington, D.C., and two grandchildren.

OHME Mrs. Anna A. Ohme. 87, of 601 White Horse Audubon, died after a long illness. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Audubon.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Horace Feyhl of Glenside, and Mrs. William McGonigal of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren; two great -grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
