Rev. Sloan, Browns Mills, Dies at 80 COURIER-POST, Camden, N. Monday, May 22, 1961 RICHARD D. HARVEY yard worker and a member of Lodge 801, International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Forgers and Helpers. Surviving are his wife, Elsie; a son, Richard of Gloucester; three daughters, Mrs.

Reba Holloway, Mrs. Caroline Dick and Mrs. Elizabeth Dolson, all of Gloucester; three brothers, Joseph, Robert and William, all of Gloucester; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth White of Woodbury, and Mrs. Dora Mills of Westville; 14 grandchildren and Richard D.

Harvey, 77, died Saturday in his home at 336 Pow. ell 1 Gloucester City. A native of England, he lived in Gloucester 65 years. Mr. Harvey was a retired ship- seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a a.m. in the Etherington Funeral Home, 700 Powell Gloucester City, where friends may call tonight. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Gloucester. to MRS. HELEN J.

ELLENWOOD Mrs. Helen J. Ellenwood, 55, of 208 Harding Collingswood, died Saturday in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Surviving are her husband, Carl a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Purisky, and a son, Carl of Collingswood, and a sister, Mrs.

Wilma Stillwell of Freehold. Friends will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Foster's Funeral Home, Haddon and Lees Collingswood. Requiem high Mass will be celebrated at 10 o'clock in Holy Savior Church, Westmont. viewing will be held tonight in funeral home.

Elizabeth S. Bowden, 55, died Saturday in her home on Blue Anchor Tansboro, where she lived 18 years. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Maguerite E. Turner, with whom she lived; two sisters, Mrs.

Edith Dunn of Thorofare, and Mrs. Letta Lutton of Frankford, and two granddaughters. Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Knight Funeral Home, Rich and Central Berlin, where friends may call Tuesday night. Burial will be in Berlin Cemetery.

She was a lifelong resident of the tri-borough area and a member of Epworth Methodist Church, Palmyra. Surviving are a son, William F. of Indian Mills; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret R. Dellaporte Hainesport; two brothers, George W.

(UPI) Sarge, the German shepherd which fought with the Marines in World War II and earned a Silver Star for valor, will be buried today with full military honors. The last known K9 Corps hero and one of the three most decorated dogs of the war, Sarge (Major Von Luckner 3d,) died Wednesday at the age of 20, the equivalent of 140 human years. He served in the South Pacific for three and one-half years, earning a Purple Heart with two clusters in addition to his Silver Star, and saved nine lives during the campaigns on Guadalcanal, Saipan and Tarawa.

JOHN SACCA SR. PALMYRA-John Sacca Sr. of 212 W. Broad here died Sunday at his home. Sacca was founder and of the Palmyra Beer Distributors, Inc.

for 28 years, and was director of the New Jersey Beverage Association. He was a member of the Palmyra Artisans Assembly 65, and of the Civic Order of Rams, Palmyra. He lived in Palmyra for 45 years. Surviving are his wife, Mary; three sons, Anthony, John Jr. and Albert all of Palmyra; three daughters, Mrs.

Rosalie Galente of Cinnaminson; Mrs. Caroline Silver of Palmyra; and Mrs. Rita Scott of Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Matthew of Woodbury; and eleven grandchildren. Friends will meet Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. in the Cunningham Funeral Home, 154 Webster Riverside.

Twelve persons, nine of them children, were left homeless Sunday when fire swept a house at 2423 Redner Philadelphia. Mr. and Mrs. James Dill and their six children, along with Mrs. Erma Brownlee and her three children, fled the burning home.

The house furnishings and the clothing of the two families were destroyed before firemen brought the blaze under control. Neighbors gave the Brownlees and Dills shelter for the night. Ginseng must grow three to five years before it develops a root large enough to sell. Dr. Owens, Dentist, Dies At Medford Dr.

John S. Owens, a practicing dentist for many years in Camden, died Sunday in his home in Medford. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, he had practiced in the city since 1909. During World War he was chief dental surgeon at General Headquarters in France, and later was an instructor in dental surgery at both Temple University and the University of Pennsylvania. He was past president of the Southern New Jersey Dental ciety, the State Dental Society, and past first vice president of the American Dental Society and past president of the Camden City Free Dental Clinic and was the first editor of the Outlook and Bulletin of the Southern New Jersey Dental Society.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Josephine Cooley of ville, Mrs. Ruth Trumpy of Annapolis, Mrs. Vivian Sons Jof Anaheim, Mrs. Jeanne Miner of Wellesley Hills, and Mrs.

Dian Forshay of Greenwich, four sisters, Mrs. Edith Fogg of Pitman, Mrs. Alice Wallace of Havertown, Mrs. Maude Updike of Yardley, and Mrs. Mary Hemphill of Haddonfield; nineteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
