The teachers salary account is $2,630,300 an increase of $247,475. Starting salary for a new teacher with a bachelor's degree will be $5,000. Last year it was $4,700.

The new teachers will be for the new junior high school and elementary school, to be created at the old junior high school. Textbook Costs Up An Increase of $5,000 was included for textbooks and an additional $6,000 for teaching supplies. The transportation account was increased by $24,000 to cover increased costs and service to the new junior high and elementary school. Appropriations for janitors was raised $45,000 and maintenance increased by $8,000. Local tax levy for the proposed budget is $2,783,797.
