A A COURIER-POST, Camden, N. Tuesday, March 2, 1965 Services Slated For 'Lone Ranger' Services Slated DETROIT (UPI)-Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Brace Beemer, 62, who was the unconquerable Lone Ranger to a generation of radio listeners. Beemer died yesterday in his Lake Orion home in suburban Detroit. He suffered a heart attack while playing bridge. "A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust and a hearty 'Hi-yo Silver, away the Lone Ranger" was Beemer's cue in 956 live radio performances as the masked man of the Plains.

Speed, speed! A columnist's got to be on the wing half the time nowadays. "And in a few weeks when jets you to Grand Bahamas to gamble in only two hours, it'll even be wilder," Hugh O'Brian told me at the Little Club. Hugh who's put some of his pay from "Love Has Many Faces," and other films, in Grand Bahamas real estate, thinks that's the Investors' Promised Land. Typically, however, Hugh's off shortly to do a film, "Ten Little Indians" -in Dublin. JACQUELINE KENNEDY, Caroline and John-John saw "Hello, Dolly!" at a matinee with Marge Champion and her children and went backstage to see Carol Channing where everybody was impressed "with children's adult conduct." I SAW EDDIE Fisher at a party Morris Lansburgh gave for Jimmy Durante's opening at the Miami Beach Deauville.

Eddie, whose cafe show's a big hit now, has controlled his gambling--he even jokes about it. He's going tol record an album for Dot in L.A. Ironically, he's trying desperately to get a hit record which, when he was a kid, came to him so easily, and so often! SONNY KING warned Durante: "When you stand behind me, don't stab me with your nose. Hurt that -and we're all outa work!" JUBANYIK Courier-Post Staff MOORESTOWN-An audience last night applauded opening production of "A Streetcar Named Desire" at the Moorestown Theater. The kudos were well deserved. Nina Foch was at her powerful best in the leading role of the dissipated Blanche who is tossed in a turmoil between illusion and reality. In Tennesse William's tragic drama, Blanche, defeated by a long sequence of misfortunes, goes to live with her sister, Stella, portrayed by Ruth Baker, and her sister's "uncouth" husband, Stanley, played by Michael Bradford. Their apartment is in a rather squalid quarter of New Orleans.

Plays Violence Bradford was dynamic in the demanding role of Stanley. Special note must be given his remarkable. the performance poker at scene. the vioJoseph George, who played the Haddonfield ORT To Sponsor Exhibit Haddonfield Chapter, Women's American Organization for Rehabilitation through Training (ORT), will sponsor an exhibition of fashions designed and created by graduates of ORT schools on March 10 in Cherry Hill Mall. The women's organization, largest ORT group in the world, is a membership organization affiliated with American OR Federation, which currently ceives funds, exclusive of membership dues, by special agreement with the joint distribution committee, a member agency of the United Jewish Appeal.

part of Mitch, one of Stanley's more refined cohorts and Blanche's gentlemanly suitor, provided the comic relief in the intensely packed play. The emphasis light touch must have been the brain child of capable director, Mervyn Nel-1 son. As Mitch, George was the epitome of a somewhat clumsy suitor anxious to please. Other Credits Credit must also be given Miss Baker for her role as the warm and forgiving sister. The supporting cast, including Claire Chapman, Odessa McClain, Thom Portelli, Robert Christian and James Scheller all earned the applause they received from the full-house audience.

The sets designed by Carole Lee Dixon used the somewhat limited stage space effectively. The audience obviously, delighted with the opening-night performance, responded with applause in the middle of several scenes and called the actors back for three curtain calls at the conclusion. Collingswood Issues Warning on Dogs Collingswood Police Chief J. Kenneth Crane announced today that after March 15 owners of unlicensed dogs will be charged with violating the borough ordinance and will be summoned before Collingswood Municipal Court. Crane said approximately 200 dogs are currently unlicensed in Collingswood.
