One fireman was overcome by smoke inhalation and taken to Englewood Hospital for treatment. Ex-Mayor E.B.Bowker Rites Set PHILADELPHIA (UPI)-Ed-ward B. Bowker, 77, former mayor of Ocean City, N.J., died Tuesday in Jefferson Hospital. Mr. Bowker, a native of Mill- ville, N.J., and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, op erated a real estate and insurance firm in Ocean City and began his political career in 1931 when he was named a tax assessor.

He was elected to the City Commission in 1939 and served as public works director. He became mayor in 1949 and served until he was defeated for re-election in 1959. Mr. Bowker is survived by his w-idow, Gertrude, a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn De Frisco and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held in Ocean City Monday afternoon with burial in Seaside Cemetery at Pa N.J. Frank DeMartini Rites Pending Services for Frank DeMartini, a Haddon Heights cabinetmaker and builder who died Saturday in Teramo, Italy, are pending VINELAND-Lance Cpl. John E. Mount, the only son of Mr. and Mrs.

Edward C. Mount of E. Landis Avenue, was killed in action in Vietnam on Palm Sunday in what the 19-year-old Marine called in his last letter home "the big push to Khe Sanh." "We got the very short letter yesterday," the elder Mount said, "and in it John described things as being very busy and that 'it would take 16 days for the big push to Khe Sanh. The Defense Department tele gram stated that Lance Cpl. Mount who had served five months in Vietnam, was killed by mortar shell fragmentation at Quang Tn.

Lance Cpl. Mount, a radio man, had attended Sacred Heart High School in Vineland before enlisting in the Marines nearly two years ago, his father said. There are no immediate sur vivors besides his parents. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Rone Funeral Chapel on Chestnut Avenue. F.

J. Busch, Accident Victim, 31 Requiem high mass for Fran cis J. Busch 31, fatally injured in a one-car accident on Route 42 in Bellmawr early Tuesday, will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Monmouth and Atlantic Ave nues, Gloucester City.

Goldberg, a businessman who parlayed an apothecary at 5th and York Streets, Camden, into an extensive chain of South Jersey drugstores, were conducted here to day in the Joseph Levine Son Funeral Home, 1512 N. Broad Street. Burial was in Montefiore Cemetery. Mr, Goldberg, a former Cam den resident who had resided most recently at 105 S.

Washing ton Avenue, Ventnor, died Tues day in the Cedars Nursing Home, here. Mr. Goldberg opened his first store in 1909 and operated the developing chain until his re tirement in 19o3. His son, Milton Garner, a Philadelphia attorney, assumed control of Quality Drug stores at that time but sold the eight-store chain in 1968. Mr.

Goldberg was a member of Camden Mizpah Lodge and of the Crescent Shrine of Tren ton. Also surviving are two grand children and one great-grand child. Gems, Cash Lost In Shore Theft ATLANTIC CITY Thieves broke into a first-floor apartment yesterday and stole approximately $3,200 in jewelry, cash, silver coins and clothing belonging to an elderly man and his invalid sister. Willis J. Dumont, 76, a retired engineer, discovered the bur glary when he returned to the four-story frame apartment house after spending the after noon visiting his sister, Mrs Elida Mangeng, 77, in Atlantic City Hospital.

The loot included about $2, in family heirloom jewelry and a $700 diamond ring belonging to Mrs. Mangeng. Youth Acquitted In Gun Death FREEHOLD (UPI) A Monmouth County jury yesterday acquitted Robert P. Cecere, 18, of manslaughter in the fatal shooting of his girlfriend's mother. Cecere was accused of killing Mrs.

Dorothy Jiminez, 35, when a gun he and seven other teenagers were inspecting in her home went off and hit the woman in the face. She was the mother of seven children. The jury deliberated one hour before returning its acquittal in the five-day trial. Cecere had dated the victim's daughter, Patricia, 16. Building Empty The latest fire, in Jean's Millinery Shop, spread to Buckley's Drug Store and swept upwards to several offices and apartments. No one was inside the building at the time. Some 54 firemen battled for some two hours before the blaze was declared under con trol. Police Lt.

Earl Beers said the building was an old frame structure and it "went up quickly." Hat Shop Wrecked The millinery shop was the most heavily wrecked. The drug store was also badly damaged The fireman, Edward Baisley, 25, was treated and released at the hospital. The Tuesday night fire de stroyed the stores in a two story building on West Palisade Avenue. They included a furni ture store, a stamp redemption center, a soda shop, a bar, a hairdresser and a loan office. Authorities said neither of the two blazes appeared "suspic ious" at this time.
