A operating model of the smallest Beltone aid of its kind will be given absolutely free to anyone answering this advertisement. Send for this non-operating model, put it on and wear it in the privacy of your own home.

The actual aid weighs less than a third of an ounce, and it's all at ear level, in one unit. These models are free, so we suggest you write for yours now. Still no solid leads in Legion disease PHILADELPHIA (AP) Though their detective work continues, federal, state and local health officials admit they still have no solid leads that could help them track down the cause of legionnaires' disease. The Bellevue Stratford ill-fated Pennsyl- Hotel headquarters of an vania American Legion convention last July. was visited by 170 doctors and scientists Monday who gathered to examine theories on the disease. "We have outside consultants studying heavy metals, we're still looking at nickel carbonyl and we're feeding water from the hotel's air conditioning system to mice," said Dr. David Fraser, an epidemiologist from the Center for Disease Control in Atlanta.

"The mice haven't died," he added. After the July 21-24 convention, 29 people died and 151 others became ill with the mysterious disease. The last victim was the Bellevue Stratford itself which lost business because of reports linking the hotel to the phantom killer. Investigators have spent at least $500,000 over the last months to track down the disease. At Monday's symposium sponsored by the American Lung Association, the progress report was disheartening.

"I am a little concerned that we've eliminated all causes of this epidemic," said Dr. Horatio T. Enterline of the University of Pennsylvania medical school. "Either there was no epidemic or we're all wrong." "I really don't know if we'll ever find an answer," said Fraser. "I know I'm a lot less confident now than I was in early August.

We've run through most of the tests we can do." State health officials also expressed pessimism. "I can tell you this: we don't expect IN MEMORIAM GAINES In sad and loving memory of our dear daughter, sister and aunt, Barbara who passed away November 16, 1975. No one knows how much we miss you, no one knows the bitter pain We have suffered since we lost you. Life has never been the same. In our hearts your memory lingers, sweetly tender, fond and true.

There is not a day Dear Barbara, that we don't think of you. Sadly missed by Mother and Father, sister, nephews and nieces. PILLA In sad and loving memory of my dear husband, Joseph, who passed away 1 year ago, November 16, 1975. Like falling leaves, year passed by, beautiful memories of you will never die. No need for words except to say, still loved remembered every day.

Sadly missed by your loving wife, Jean An anything startling in the next couple of weeks," said Dr. William E. Parkin, chief of epidemiology with the Pennsylvania Department. of Health. "Some day we'll find out what caused it, but it may be a hundred years from now before our technology; becomes efficient enough to cope with it." The doctors ate the hotel's food, drank the water, and talked about its air conditioning system, dirty pigeons outside, plants that possibly could have borne the disease.

None of the pieces in the puzzle fit, however. A hotel bell captain who will be out of a job Thursday after 31 years of service, eavesdropped on the morning session. "All I heard up there was a lot of maybes," he said. "Maybe this, maybe that. It could be this.

It could be that. Hell, where is the truth?" Frank A. Pawlowiez, high school janitor DELRAN Services will be held Wednesday for Frank A. Pawlowicz, 47, a janitor who died Sunday in Crozer-Chester Medical Center, Upland, of burns he suffered i in an Oct. 28 accident in Cinnaminson High School.

Mr. Pawlowicz lived most of his life in Delran and was a member of the Polish-American Citizens Club of Delran. He is survived by his mother, Mrs.

Stella Pawlowicz, with whom he resided; two brothers and five sisters. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir's Church, Riverside, Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Riverside.

SAIA Businessmen indicted A federal grand jury in Newark indicted 11 Hudson County businessmen Monday, charging them with conspiracy and bribing an Internal Revenue Service agent. U.S. Attorney L.

Goldstein said the indictments allege that IRS agent John Gill, who was named as an unindicted coconspirator, was paid more than $23,600 in individual bribes by the businessmen, who allegedly defrauded the government of more than $250,000 in employe withholding taxes..
