of the township's Thorofare section, died Friday at Underwood-Memorial Hospital. Woodbury, three days after the death of his wife, Elizabeth. He was 67. Mrs. Margerum was 62.

The Margerums were the owners and operators of CH. Margerum Gourmet Foods in Philadelphia's Reading Terminal, 12th and Arch streets, for more than 30 years. The meat business was founded 93 years ago by Mr. Margerura's grandfather. The Margerums retired from the business 1 2 years a go.

It no is opera ted by their daughter, Noelle Margerum, of Mantua. Mr. Margerum was a former member of the Reading Terminal Market Merchants Association, the Arch Street Businessmen's Association and the Small Businessmen's Association of Philadelphia. Mr. Margerum is also survived by a second daughter, Carole Baierlein, of Baltimore, Mi; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Edward, of Bell-view, and William of Opalocka, Fla.

A memorial service will be held at I p.m. Thursday at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St, Woodbury. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 312 N. Adamsville Road, Bridgewater.

Margaret Farrar, puzzle editor NEW YORK (AP) Margaret Farrar, who was The New York Times' original crossword puzzle editor and held the post for more than a quarter of a century, died yesterday.
