The services were to take place at 2 p.m. in the Berschler Funeral Home, 5441 Route 38, Pennsauken. Burial will be in New Camden Cemetery, 2800 Mount Ephraim Camden. Mr. Sbar recently retired from the Joseph Sbar Supply a heating and air-conditioning equipment company that he established 55 years ago on Mechanic Street in Camden.

Mr. Sbar was born in Camden and graduated from Camden High School in 1930. He played football at Camden High and continued in the sport with a semiprofessional team until he was named a magistrate in 1935. He served as a magistrate until 1940. He also served as secretary of the New Jersey State Magistrate's Association.

Mr. Sbar was a member of Temple Beth Shalom of Haddon Heights, and in 1985 was elected Man of the Year by the South Jersey Oil Heat Managers Association. Mr. Sbar is survived by his wife, Lenore (nee Ross) of Collingswood; two daughters, Anita Toby Grow of Prairie Village, and Michele Stevens of Cinnaminson; two sons, Lawrence of Santa Fe, N.M., and Phillip of Lindenwold; and three sisters, Mildred, Zelda Koperstein and Florence Leace. Collings mass Hill. H. Fred Gehrke, Shore resident, retired architect SBAR LONG BEACH TWP. Services will be tomorrow for retired architect H. Fred Gehrke.

Mr. Gehrke, 78, of the North Beach section of this township, died Monday at Southern Ocean County Hospital in Manahawkin. A New Jersey native, Mr. Gehrke lived in Collingswood before moving to the Shore 15 years ago. He was a self-taught architect who designed schools and churches in New Jersey and Washington.

Mr. Gehrke was a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla of Long Beach Island, Beach Haven Lodge 286 the Excelsior Consistory in West Collingswood, the Crescent Temple Shrine in Trenton, and St. Luke's Lutheran Church in West Collingswood. Libby, only woman on Manhattan Project LOS ANGELES (AP) Leona Marshall Libby, who worked on the first nuclear reactor and was the only woman researcher on the Manhattan Project, which developed the first atomic weapon, died Monday night. She was 67.

Mrs. Libby, whose disciplines included chemistry, physics, astronomy, geophysics and environmental studies, publisbed about 200 scientific papers and wrote three books. After the war she conducted research with J. Robert Oppenheimer at Princeton. Most recently, she wasan adjunct professor at the University of California at Los Angeles..
