Hiram Bingham diplomat NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) -Hiram Bingham a former diplomat who helped many Europeans flee from the Nazis before and during World War II, was buried yesterday. He was 84. Mr. Bingham died Tuesday at his Salem home after a short illness.

Ruth Elizabeth Padcn, retired registered nurse CHERRY HILL Funeral services will be tomorrow for Ruth Elizabeth (Madson) Paden, 66, a retired registered nurse who died Friday at her son's home in Sickler-ville after a long illness. Born in Palmerton, Mrs. Paden had lived in Cherry Hill since 1955. She graduated from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania's School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1942. She worked there after graduation.

Mrs. Paden retired in February 1986 after 24 years with the Moores-town Visiting Nurse Association (VNA). She ran the once-a-week family planning clinic at Zurbrugg Hospital, Riverside Division, for the VNA until she became ill last summer. "She had a wonderful bedside manner," said Ellen Warner, the retired director of the Moorestown VNA. Mrs.

Warner said she worked with Mrs. Paden for 21 years. "Ruth was just a wonderful person," Mrs. Warner recalled. "She was beloved by the staff and patients." The retired director said Mrs.

Paden "started when the clinic started, around 1970. She enjoyed the work and everyone enjoyed her." Mrs. Paden is survived by three sons, James Joseph III of Laurel Springs, Peter of Bellmawr and Christopher of Sicklerville, with whom she was staying; three sisters, Margaret Best of Plainfield, Doreen Roberts of Bethlemhem, Pa. and Janet Mason of Delaware; a brother, Buddy Madson of Chester, and seven grandchildren. Friends may call todayfrom 7 to 9 p.m.

at the Murray-Paradee Funeral Home, 601 W. Marlton Pike. Funeral services will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Locustwood Memorial Cemetery.

Rose E. Bendy, was matron of Eastern Star BROWNS MILLS Services will be tomorrow for Rose E. Bendy, a Rosalie M. Fearn, 79, active in community HADDON TWP. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow for Rosalie M.

Fearn, a charter member of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Fearn died Thursday at her Westmont home. She was 79. Mrs.

Fearn also was a member of the Haddon Township branch of Our Lady of Lourdes Auxiliary and a member of the Mother's Club at St. Joseph's Prep School and St. Mary of the Angels Academy. She also was a former Cub Scout den mother at the Church of the Holy Saviour. Surviving are her husband, Dr.

William F. Fearn a son, Dr. William F. Jr of Moorestown; a daughter, Rosalie Abraham of Allendale; four brothers, Peter, Edward, Francis and Joseph Reilly, three sisters, Joan Bowers, Virginia Baliski and Dorothy Reilly; along with six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m.

tomorrow at the Church of the Holy Saviour, 50 past matron of the Haddonfield Chapter No. 140 Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Bendy, a resident of Weymouth Road in Browns Mills, died Friday at the Memorial Hospital of Burlington County in Mount Holly. She was 74.

Born in Jersey City, Mrs. Bendy was a resident of Browns Mills for the past 10 years and a former resident of Cherry Hill and Haddonfield. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in Browns Mills. Surviving are two sons, Marvin of Waterford and Kenneth of Browns Mills; one daughter, Gail Parks of Browns Mills; one sister, Dorothy Cook of Matawan; two brothers, Kenneth Schmidt of Browns Mills and Raymond Schmidt of Benton, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be tomorrow at 1 p.m.

at the Kingdom Hall, Lakehurst Road, Browns Mills. Interment will be in Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick. Friends may call today from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main New Egypt.

Margaret M. Quigley, volunteer at hospital COLLINGSWOOD A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow for Margaret M. (nee Foley) Quigley, a volunteer for Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Mrs. Quigley died Thursday at Cooper HospitalUniverstity Medical Center in Camden.

She was 78. Mrs. Quigley was a member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Craft Guild and the Haddon Township branch of the hospital's auxiliary since 1965. She also was a longtime volunteer at the Our Lady of Lourdes Thrift Shop in Collingswood. Surviving are five sons, Joseph A.
