4B COURIER-POST, Friday July 22, 1088 Obituaries Daniel N. Cirucci, school custodian PENNSAUKEN Services will be held tomorrow for Daniel N. Cirucci, a former custodian at Camden High School who used to play Santa Claus for the neighborhood kids when he lived in Camden. Mr. Cirucci died Wednesday at the Atlantic City Medical Center after collapsing on a senior citizen bus trip to the casinos.

He was 80. Employed for 37 years, Mr. Cirucci cared for Farnhan Park, which serves as the Camden High School athletic fields. "He took great pride in the maintenance of the facility," said his son, Daniel A. Cirucci Jr.

"He took scrupulous care of the fields, even if it meant coming in early or staying late." According to Cirucci, his father could prepare the baseball diamond, putting lime from home to first base, without using a guide. "You just knew it would be straight," said Cirucci. Mr. Cirucci also took a special interest in the activity of the staff of the New Jersey State Bar Association, claims "he taught me everything I know about politics." "It was our kitchen table conversation and it was our common bond," said Cirucci "It was our baseball." For Mr. Cirucci, politics was a lifelong love.

"We watched the Democratic convention together Monday night," his son said. Mr. Cirucci was a member of the St. Stephen's Senior Citizens Club of Pennsauken and a former member of the Order of the Sons of Brotherly Love, a fraternal organization in Camden. According to his son, Mr.

Cirucci was an inspiration to many. "He believed in approaching the world with a smile," said Cirucci. Besides his son, Mr. Cirucci is survived by his wife, Italia "Dolly" (nee: Perozzi); a daughter, Lenora N. Annibale of Cherry Hill; a brother, Enrico of Audubon; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Stephen's Church, 6380 Browning Road, Pennsauken. Friends may call one hour before services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Falco-Caruso Funeral Home, 6600 N.

Browning Road, Pennsauken. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Cherry Hill. Jefferson Davis Akin, Cherry Hill shoemaker CHERRY HILL Services will be tomorrow for Jefferson Davis Akin, a shoemaker and World War II Marine veteran. Mr. Akin died Monday of a heart attack at Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Cherry Hill.

He was 63. A resident of Cherry Hill, Mr. Akin was employed for 19 years as a shoemaker at Carl's Shoes, 27 Main Moorestown. He was a member of the National Association of Atomic Veterans, former members of the troops that were sent to Nagasaki after the atomic bomb was dropped there. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Berlin and the Moose Lodge in Linden-wold.

Surviving are his wife, Marie E. (nee: Marker); two sons, Don J. of South Bend, Ind. and Ron M. of Collingswood; three sisters, Mar-jorie Frerichs of Valley Mills, Texas, Lila Stroup of Texarkana, "He was a fixture at the baseball, football and basketball games," said Cirucci.

"Everyone who went through Camden High School knew him and he saw many young people go through the high school and into their careers." Mr. Cirucci enjoyed interacting with all kinds of people. "He was a great lover of people," said Cirucci. "He enjoyed meeting, talking and joking with everyone." Cirucci has childhood memories of his father playing Santa Claus for the neighborhood children in the Royden Street area of South Camden and the Hillside Street area of East Camden. "He was known and loved by many people," said Cirucci.

Originally of Benson Street, Mr. Cirucci was known to many as "Tightsie." This nickname dates back to his childhood when he used to wear tights as a boy. Mr. Cirucci was a member of the Democratic Party in Camden, serving as a district leader for many years. "He loved politics," said Cirucci "And he especially loved to talk about politics." Cirucci, who is on the executive and Leola Akin of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers, Ennis and Ellis Akin of Shreveport, daughters-in-law, Denise and Ida Marie; and six grandchildren.

Friends will gather at 8 a.m. tomorrow at the Schetter Funeral Home, 304 W. Marlton Pike, Route 70 in Cherry Hill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. in Queen of Heaven Roman Catholic Church.

Interment will be in Locustwood Memorial Park. Viewing will be from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. John Panicola 27, restaurant accountant CHERRY HILL Services will be held tomorrow for John R. Panicola a former township resident who worked as an accountant for a Philadelphia restaurant. Mr.

Panicola died July 21 at the Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia after a lengthy illness. He was 27. Mr. Panicola worked as an accountant for the Fish Market Restaurant for the past seven years. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Cherry Hill most of his life before moving to Philadelphia in 1979.

Mr. Panicola is survived by his father, John R. Panicola Sr; a sister, Linda and brother, Joseph. Services will be 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Murray-Paradee Funeral Home, 301 W.

Marlton Pike (Route 70), Cherry Hill. Friends may call one hour before services at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. at Saint Peter Celestine Church, 402 N. Kings Highway, Cherry Hill.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill. Speakman, formerly of Haddonf ield WOODSTOWN Graveside services for Doris Buckman Speakman, 83, formerly of Had-donfield, will be 10 a.m.

tomorrow in Locustood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill. Mrs. Speakman, who lived in the Friends Home here, died Tuesday of heart failure in the Salem County Memorial Hospital, Man-nington Township. She was a retired contract administrator in the government section at RCA, Camden, for 20 years until 1967. She was born in Scranton, and she also was a member of the Woodstown Presbyterian Church, where she once served as a deaconess.

Surviving are her daughter, Joan Sherwood of Vienna, six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was also the mother of the late Dr. Jay W. Speakman, a Woodstown dentist. "She was our adopted mother and vice versa," said Carl Ohmott of Woodstown.

Mr. Rowan, a township resident, died on July 19 at thcZurbrugg Hospital, Willingboro after a short illness. He was 61. Mr. Rowan worked at RCA for 43 years before retiring recently.

He was also an Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Rowan is survived by his wife, Mildred (nee Caruso); a daughter, Donna Wright of Midd-letown; a son, Joseph J. of Pennsauken; a brother, John of Mount Ephraim; three sisters, Anna Cas-tagna of Berlin, Esther Berwick of Bellmawr and Patricia Coyle of Medford Lakes and four grandchildren. Benjamin Brest, led AAA unit in Camden PENNSAUKEN Graveside services were to be conducted here today for Benjamin Brest, who had been a district manager for the American Automobile Association in Camden.

Mr. Brest, a former Camden resident, died Monday in his home in Boca Raton, Fla. He had retired about 30 years ago. He was a former member of the Woodcrest Country Club in Cherry Hill. Surviving are his wife, Josephine (Nancy); a brother, Robert of Longport; and a sister, Minerva Tyson of Haddonfield.

Services will be at 11 a.m. in Crescent Burial Park. Cecilia Loboda, 74, retired RCA employee CAMDEN Services will be held Monday for Cecilia C. Loboda, a former RCA employee and a longtime city resident. Mrs.

Loboda died July 21 at the St. Mary's Catholic Home in Cherry Hill. She was 74. Formerly of Trenton, Mrs. Loboda lived in Camden most of her life.

She worked as a cost accountant for RCA in Camden for 39 years before she retired. She was also a member of Saint Joseph's Church in Camden, involved with the Lady's Sodality and the Rosary Society. Mrs. Loboda is survived by her brother, Henry Loboda of Camden; a sister, Wanda Jozwiak of Erial; two nephews and two nieces. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9 a.m.

Monday at Saint Joseph's Church, 10th and Mechanic Streets, Camden. A viewing will be held 7-9 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services at the Zembruski-Anyzek Funeral Home, 1643 Mt. Ephraim Camden. Burial will be in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing.
