3b Obituaries COURIER-POST, Tuesday, July 4, 1989 Miriam R. Budd, active in politics, volunteer work Haddonfield Little League and the -4i Commissioner. As a businesswoman, Mrs. Budd was the founding partner with her husband of Budd Plywood Distributors in Camden. She served as their comptroller for 20 years, ehe retired in 1973.

When her two sons were growing up, Mrs. Budd was a room mother at the Tatem School in Haddonfield, a Cub Scout Den Mother, secretary of the Tatem School PTA and vice president of both the Her husband William said that, although his wife detested many of the things she saw in politics, she felt that the people needed more politicans like herself. "She used to say, i believe I'm the only person involved who has never made a nickel out of an organization he said. Mrs. Budd also served on the Haddonfield Zoning Board for 16 years and was the first woman to run for Haddonfield Borough I Ifi ,1 1 Haddonfield Babe Ruth League.

"Looking back, I couldn't believe she was active in so many organizations," said Mr. Budd. "She enjoyed becoming involved in any situation which dealt with people who needed help." Serving as vice chairwoman of the Lakeland Hopital Advisory Board, Mrs. Budd was a member of the Women's Board of Cooper Hospital and a member of the N.J. State Board of Marriage Counselors Licensing Board.

"Her only self-centered activity was golf," said Mr. Budd. "She was an ardent golfer and a member of Tavistock Country Club. Everything else she did in her life was for the good of somebody else." Along with her husband, Mrs. Budd is survived by two sons, William I.

of Mill Valley, Calif, and Thomas L. of Indiana, a sister, Elva Brady of Wilbraham, and a granddaughter, Beth Barbor of Moorestown. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Raymond Mumford, retired cemetery manager SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. Raymond F.

Mumford, a former resident of Cherry Hill, died Saturday at Scottsdale Memorial Hospital in Arizona after a long illness. Mr. Mumford, who was 79, was a former general manager of Locust-wood Memorial Park in Cherry Hill, where he will be buried. "He had been employed there as long as I can remember," said his daughter, Helen Evelyn Campbell of Westmont. "He really enjoyed his work there." Retiring at the age of 65, Mr.

Mumford spent most of his retirement involved with church activities and playing golf. "He just seemed to enjoy everything," said Campbell. Mrs. Waibridge died Saturday at Cooper HospitalUniversity Medical Center, Camden, after a brief illness. She was 85. A longtime Oaklyn resident, Mrs. Waibridge, along with her husband Harry who died in 1956, had managed McGlone's Tavern in Oaklyn for the past 40 years.

Before that, she worked as head cashier and supervisor of the Old Mill Inn in Pennsauken, which her brother Neil Deighan owned in the 1930s and 1940s. Haddonfield home. She was 69. A resident of Haddonfield for 48 years, she participated in Haddonfield Republican politics in the 1950s and 1960s, Mrs. Budd served as the first woman president of the Haddonfield Republican Club and was elected to six terms on the Camden County Republican Committee.

Mr. Mumford was a member of of the Gideons International and a founding member and elder emeritus of First Alliance Church of Merritt Island, Fla. Along with his daughter, Helen Evelyn Campbell of Westmont, Mr. Mumford is survived by his wife, Grace Gabriel Mumford; a daughter, Grace Elaine Fry of Arizona; a brother, Howard S. of Sarasota, four grandsons and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. McGough was a Navy veteran of World War II. Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Cherry Hill for 16 years. He moved to Summit 16 years ago. Mr.

McGough, who was a former employee of RCA, Moorestown, and a former Cherry Hill resident. Mr. McGough died Sunday after a brief illness at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Manahawkin. A graduate of Drexel University, Philadelphia, Mr. McGough was employed for RCA in Moorestown from 1953 to 1969.

He retired in 1988 after three years with the A.D.P. Brokerage Information Systems Group in New York. He also worked for the G.T.E. Control Data Corp. in New York from 1969 to 1985 and the Army Fire Control Radar Laboratory in Philadelphia from 1950 to 1953.

Preusch, a former maintenance custodian for the Gloucester City Public Schools, died Sunday after a long illness at West Jersey Hospital, Camden. Mr. Preusch, of Gloucester City, was 68 years old.

He retired from the school system in 1986 after 17 years of service. He was a steward for more than 20 years in the Greater Kensington String Band and belonged to the AMVETS of World War II, Post 158, Philadelphia. He served in World War II as a bridge Carpenter in the U.S. Army and fought in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. He retired as a private with the 82nd Engineers.

Joseph Cline, worked at Phila. Naval Base HADDON TWP. Services will be tomorrow for Joseph B. Cline, 91, who died of an aortic aneurysm Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Mr.

Cline, a Westmont resident, was a retired loftman who had worked at Philadelphia Naval Base for many years. He was a member of the Westmont Fire Co. No. 1 and was a member of seven masonic lodges: Camden No. 15, Ionic, Collings-wood.

Cherry Hill, Mispah, Park-side and Universal. He also was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. An ardent music lover, Mr. Cline played the organ at the Philadelphia Naval Aircraft chapel, for the Collingswood and Camden Lions Clubs, and for a number of movie theaters.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Eilenberg Cline, and numerous nieces and nephews.
