Funeral services set for R.E. Harris CHERRY HILL The viewing for Robert E. Harris III, 76, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Holl-Murphy Funeral Home, West End Avenue and Kings Highway, Haddonfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at St.

Pius Church, 345 Kresson Road, Cherry Hill. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, Pa. Mr. Harris, community relations liaison at Garden State Park and a former bank executive, died Thursday of a heart attack. He is survived by his wife, Elza (nee Vellner); and a daughter, Nancy E.

Rocco L. Laspata 72, of Vineland, died Friday at home. Mr. Laspata was a World War II veteran who achieved the rank of master sergeant in the Army Air Corps. He worked 12 years as a pipe insulator at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard.

A lifelong member of St. Anthony's Club of Glassboro, Mr. Laspata was also a member of Sacred Heart Church. He was an avid bowler who also enjoyed farming and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Thomasina; three sons, Rocco Jr.

of New York City, Dennis of Millville and Raymond Sorangelo of Pembrooke Pines, two brothers, Carmen of Williamstown and Sam of Glassboro; three sisters, Grace Livecchi of Collingswood, Ann Lipka of Glassboro and Mary Gambino of Cherry Hill; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held from 7 to 9 tonight and from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Rone Funeral Service, 1110 E. Chestnut Vineland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m.

Mr. Armstrong formerly worked in the mailroom at the Philadelphia Inquirer and served on the executive board of the mailroom union. An Army reservist from 1950 to 1954, he was a Golden Gloves boxer for the 9th District of the Philadelphia Police. He was a volunteer firefighter for Oak Valley Fire Company from 1960 to 1967 and was a counselor at the Camden County Correctional Center from 1989 to 1993. Mr.

Dowdy, 78, of Logan, died Sunday at home. A World War II veteran, Mr. Dowdy was a 50-year resident of Logan. He previously worked as a drill operator for the Sprague and Henwood Scranton, for 36 years. Surviving are his wife, Marilou (nee Jackson); six sons, Leon of Glassboro, Jerry, Ronald and Richard of Woodbury, and James and Randall of Gloucester; three daughters, Gail Venuto of Pennsville, Cheryl Danks of National Park and Marilee Hansen of Millville; three brothers, John of Swedesboro, Joseph of Pennsville and Richard of Richmond, 23 grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
