Today, the Haddonfield High School Concert Choir will sing at the Echelon Mall at 7 p.m.

on Dec 15 the Collingswood High School A. Cappella Choir performs at the mall at 7 pm. on Dec. 16 the Hammonton High School Concert Choir gets its turn to belt out Christmas melodies at 2 m. at the mall.

Also on Dec 18 the Haddonfield High School Chorale will perform at the Cherry Hill Mall at 7 p.m. For more information, call 428-9338 Dr Jay IX'Mesquita of Penn-sauken will display his collection of antique eyewear at the Camden County Library on Laurel Road in Voorhees this month and in January His more collection includes antique eyeglasses, lorgnettes, cases, doll glasses, opera glasses and antique equipment for examining vision. Some of it dates back to 1700. This display will be open for you to view Monday through Friday from 10 a to 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Doris Martin, a single parent, told her our chi Idren that when she enrolled at Rutgers Camden in 1974. "My kids prompted me togo," she says.

"At the time my girl was in the third grade, she was bringing home math work that I could not help her with. I wanted to help so much. That's what sent me back. Today the roles have reversed. "The kids are helping me study," she with the required math courses." Going back was no small achievement.

She began her college work after quitting high school in the 10th grade. Starting in Rutgers' "Open Enrollment" plan, she studied each night and after successfully completing a years work with a average she was awarded a high school diploma from the state. During this time she was also working four days a week in a drugstore, but she now has earned enough credits to substitute in city schools. Her children admire their mother for what she has done, but she is very proud of what they have accomplished. "It would have been impossible to do if I didn't have total support," she says.

"If I was in school knowing that my kids were out on the street doing the things that some kids will do, I could not have done it Going to school and working for the past six years Ms. Martin has not spent the time she would have liked to with her children. LOUIS CIRUCCI (tf Camden celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday. They have two children, Joseph of BcMmawT, Afrs. Nancy DiMadtio of Cherry ID1I and four grandchildren. MR. AND MRS.

GEORGE E. HOUCK Of Camden celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Sunday. They have one daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Hinger of Pennsauken, two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. BBipiiank IS i rsr- A LA SMI On the 4-H scene, Catherine Lennox of Cherry Hill was awarded the Harry E.

Mumma Memorial Award for outstanding leadership. She has been leader of the "Bobinwinders" 4-H Club for seven years. Also honored in 4-H activity was Idah Agin who received a plaque for27 years of service to the program. Mrs. Agin retired in October.

Eleanor Hawthorne, who will retire in December, was awarded a plaque for 24 years nf service. Both women served as secretaries. And "FYiendsof 4-H" were honored. Thoy included: Atco National Bank for sponsoring radio coverage at the 4-H Fair; First Pennsylvania Bank, for its contribution for the construction of a refreshment stand at the 4-H center; Norman Brecht a professional photographer from Audubon, for donating his time and skills; Schuster's Shoes of Berlin, for sponsoring the "Most Improved Rider" trophy award and donating the trophy for the club winner at the Fair Fun Horse Show, and Vernon Norcross of Norcross Agency, for his annual sponsorship of 4-H calendars. Nancy Hanna of Cherry Hill was the recent winner in the 4-H Home Environment Program. Carolyn Pickett Miller of Moorestown, has been elected to the Board of Managers at Friends Hospital, Philadelphia. Mrs. Miller also serves on the Moorestown Friends School Committee and is actively involved in the League of Women Voters. Dick Scharf of Gibbsboro has been chosen Employee of the Year, at Spectron Moorestown.

Scharf was chosen from 400 employees for the award that is given to honor hard work and dedication. He is a Systems ProgrammerEngineer and has been in the field of engineering for 10 Lillian M. Costello of Bellmawr has Marlene L. Makuka has been appointed as director of public relations at Zurburgg Memorial Hospital, Riverside. In addition to public relations activities including media relations, special event planning, hospital publications and community relations, she will be responsible for ihe print shop and photography operations of the The Township of Burlington Heritage Commission has elected officials for 1979.

They are: William Davis, chairman; Dudley Dickerson, vice chairman; Pat Gallagher, Secretary; Edta Mohr, treasurer; Frank Caulfield, trusteed years; Stephen George trustee-2 years; and Richard Farley trustee-1 year. John McDonnell of Millville was recently elected president of the New Jersey Taxpayers Association. He succeeds Ezra L. Bixby of Medical Center volunteers were recently honored. They were: Agnes Cooper of Haddonfield, a volunteer in the Psychiatric Department and a member of the Suburban Hill Auxiliary, awarded for serving 1447 hours for 1977-78; Anna Cooper of Merchantville, a volunteer in the Admissions Department and a member of the Merchantville Pennsauken Auxiliary, awarded for serving 8863 hours; Terr! Robinson awarded for the highest candystriper hours, and Hilatre Penert awarded for the nighest candystriper accumulated hours.
