1 1 COURIER-POST, CHERRY N.J. Wednesday, November 1, 1978 Gotta Question? For The Doctor Q. I am 34 years old and have four children. I wear a cup" bra. Because of gaining weight and lack of exercise, my breasts sag and hang very badly.

Would normal breast development exercise help correct this problem, or is there any operation I can have? What would be the procedure, and what is the cost? Mrs. L.B., Vincetown A. Your problem might be handled in several different ways depending a great deal on the results of a complete examination. In many cases of this type a well-balanced exercise program can be very beneficial. If surgery is required however, then evaluation by a plastic surgeon specializing in breast care is the route to take.

The type of procedure would be determined by the results of the examination, and the cost would depend upon the type of procedure needed. You should give careful attention to your insurance coverage because this does constitute cosmetic surgery, which is not covered by all policies. Robert B. Cohen, D.O. Section of General Practice Cherry Hill Medical Centr Q.

Is there any relation between taking Vitamin and taking blood pressure medicine? I have heard that if you have high blood pressure you should be careful about using Vitamin E. H.E., Pennsauken A. No relationship between blood pressure and Vitamin has been established. Many claims have been made both pro and con about the use of Vitamin but none has been substantiated with respect to blood pressure or the caridovascular system. However, the use of any compound vitamin, mineral, or whatever while taking other medications should be thoroughly discussed with your physician on an individual basis.

Stephen S. Levin, D.O. Chairman, Division of Hypertension and Nephrology Cherry Hill Medical Center Q. I am 73 3 years old and have had a problem with hypertension for some years. My physicians give me nothing for it but such diuretics as Lasix, Dyazide, Diuril and Moderil all of which give me urinary problems and very uncomfortable feelings in that area.

Isn't there some other medication for this problem that is not a diuretic? J.S.D., Merchantville A. Many medications are available for blood pressure control that are not diuretics. Except for some extremely rare instances, however, all patients with hypertension should take a diuretic. These drugs are very effective in lowering blood pressure, and most patients do not require any other medication. The other anti-hypertensive medications usually promote salt and water retention when used along, and this causes a progressive need for increasing dosages.

Diuretics do not cause urinary problems; your difficulties with urination should be discussed with your physician. Stephen S. Levin, D.O. Chairman, Division of Hypertension and Nephrology Cherry Hill Medical Center Ed. Part time job may be You may be tired of the daily routine and eager to quit working, and yet, in your contemplative moments, you may wonder what you're going to do without some kind of a job.

Not so tense, not SO busy-busy, not SO political but the satisfaction of being out in the world with other people and the feeling that you are earning your keep. Question: When I realize that I might want to retire and yet continue working, what's the first thing I should do? Answer: The first thing, if you're relatively happy with your associations now, is to explore whether it might be possible to continue, on a part-time basis, in the same job you now hold -or, if not that, in the same place of employment or trade with which you are familiar. And the second? The second thing is to watch the classified ads for clues to part-time or less-responsible jobs which utilize the skills, talents, and experience you know you have. This gives you a better idea of what to shoot for when you're ready to list your name with employment agencies or hit the mailbox and the pavements on your own. But suppose I'd like to do something really different get a refreshing change of pace? For example, if you've been pounding a typewriter all day at work and doing watercolors and refinishing furniture at night, you might like a part-time job in the art department of a greeting card company or in an antique store. Anyway, catalog your underused talents and skills and then make a list of the types of jobs that might use them. Won't I have a difficult time because of employers' prejudice against the aging? This is something you'll have to overcome.

Age discrimination is illegal, but it's difficult to prove, and an employer can even convince himself that he's turning you down for some other reason. If a prospective employer is set in his mythical conceptions about the infirmities and dangers of aging workers, you'll never change him. But, fortunately, many employers are willing to make.
