which later became WTYI, Channel 6. For 18 years he was a writer, director-producer, and reporter for WCAU-TV, primarily responsible for news in South Jersey. After that he returned to radio, working as an on-air news personality for WCAU before retiring. He worked for several months as the press campaign manager for Peter Liacouras, Temple University president, in his bid for the U.S. Senate.

A native of Olean, N.Y., he graduated from the School of Journalism and Communications of Syracuse University. In 1951, Mr. Primikiris enlisted in the Navy. Over five years he was commissioned an officer and was promoted to the rank of lieutenant j.g. He was a communications officer, serving on destroyers and aircraft carriers.

While stationed with the Sixth Fleet in Spain, he met his wife, Maria, in Barcelona. His first radio job wa3 with WHDL, Palm Beach, but he relocated to the Delaware Valley, taking a job with WKDN, Camden, and working as a reporter with the Burlington County Times. For the last 15 years, Mr. Primikiris was a board member and officer of the Philadelphia Press Association, serving as president of the organization for two terms. "John was a true professional," said one of his friends and colleagues, Pat Delsi, president of WSSJ radio and current president of the Philadelphia Press Association. "I knew him first as a fellow newsman, but we became friends over the years. Whatever he did, John had high standards.

He wanted to have a story first, but first he wanted to have it are his wife, Maria (nee Plantells) and two daughters, Diane of White Plains, N.Y., and Christine Miriglia of Cherry Hill. Thomas James Lanute, 26, of Williamstown, died Tuesday after a long illness at West Jersey Hospital, Berlin. Born in Stratford, Mr. Lanute was a graduate of Edgewood High School, class of 1986.

Mr. Lanute was on the cross country team in his senior year and was a member of the National Honor Society. He later attended Trenton State College. He lived in Williamstown for the last six years. Mr.

Lanute worked for New-comb Hospital, Vineland, as a registrar in the Emergency Department for eight years. He is survived by his parents, Thomas of Williamstown, and Donnalee Lanute (nee Nichols) of Hollywood, a brother, Brian of Sicklerville; his paternal grandparents, James and Leona of Sicklerville; and his maternal grandmother, Anne Finegan of Woodbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated noon Saturday at St. Mary's Church, Main Street and Carrol Avenue, Williamstown. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m.

Flora M. Lafferty, 77, of Washington Township, died March 14 in Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Washington Township. Mrs. Lafferty lived in Blackwood for 27 years before moving to Washington Township a few months ago. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Blackwood.

The Rev. Albert Vincent Ranalli, 58, of Quito, Ecuador, and ChatSWOrth, died Monday at his home in Ecuador. Rev. Ranalli was an independent evangelical minister with the Kuechua Indians in Ecuador for the past 27 years. A native of Chatsworth, he was a graduate of Pemberton Borough High School and Asbury College, Wilmore, and received his Master of Divinity degree from the Asbury Theological Seminary.

He was a member of the Chatsworth Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sharon D. (nee Wilhelm) of Quito, Ecuador and Chatsworth; a son, Christopher of Chatsworth; three daughters, Carmen D. Ranalli Morrison of Lititz, Ramona R. of Blacksburg, and Angela D.

Bartel of Pasadena, and six grandchildren. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Chatsworth Methodist Church, Main Street, Chatsworth. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Marlton Assembly of Grid Church, Main Street and Elmwood Road, Marlton.
