Mrs. Hilf was a longtime Haddonfield resident, who retired to the shore, at Barnegat Light then in her latyears returned to Haddonfield. While at the shore she was an active member of the LBI Garden Club and the Barnegat Light Fire Department Auxiliary. Mrs. Hilf's family will receive friends on Thursday after 9 AM, at Christ the King R.C.

Miss Lyons was a noted local historian who researched the life of Elizabeth Haddon Estaugh for over 30 years and was working on her. biography at the time her death. She wrote and lectured extensively on Haddonfield and South Jersey history for many years, enthralling both young and old audiences with her stories and knowledge.

An active Life Member of the Historical, Society of Haddonfield, she was the Assistant Librarian for the Society Library and had served on the Board of the Society. Raised in Haddon field, she was a member of HMHS Class of 1945. She held both Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. After a with the NJ Department of Health in Trenton, she undertook an active retirement.
