(nee Manlin) of Cherry Hill, NJ passed away after a short illBeloved wife of the late Fred "Uncle Daughter of the late and Earl Mason. Survived by her aunt, her sisters-in law, her brothersin law, her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and all the special people whose lives she touched. 7, 2002. She was 82 years old. Born and raised in registered nurse graduated Wilmington, DE. wiSher was a from St. Francis School of Nursing in Wilmington.

While serving as an army nurse with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant during WWII. She met her husband Bill and married in 1942, they moved to Brigantine in 1949 and she was employed as a private duty nurse at Atlantic City Medical Center. She later became certified as a school nurse and worked at the Brigantine School and during Summer, she was a nurse at the Atlantic City Race Track. After her retirement in 1981 she remained active as a volunteer at Betty Bacharach Cardiac Rehab Center, the Parents Committee of the Miss American pageant, the LPGA Shoprite classic and the Shore Memorial Hospital Senior Center at the shore mall. She also enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, bridge and traveling.

She especially enioyed spending summers at the Brigantine Beach with her many friends. She is survived by her sons, William and his wife Ann Koelling, and his wife Patricia Koelling. She was the proud grandmother of Kimberly, Paul Michael, Katie, Matthew and Erin. She especially enjoyed the company of her great grandchildren Lexi and Patrick. She was the dear sister of Theresa Messick, and loved by many nieces and nephews.

KUBIAK, VERONICA DOROTHY Age 93, a hairdresser for 55 years, who had the Fairview section of Camden, and had operated Veronica's Beauty Shop there for 45 years. Died at home the Haddon Heights on Feb. 6, 2002.

Mrs. Kubiak retired in 1984, and lived the next 17 years in Haddon Heights with her daughter, Dorothy K. Moran, her son-in law, and her two Christyn and Jaimee. Mrs. Kubiak was the second born of the eight daughters of Bronislawa Majewski Serba and Adam Serba who to America from Bialystok, Poland in the late 1890's.

She was born in McKeesport, PA on March 14, 1908, and moved as an infant with her family to Camden, NJ. She gradvated from St. Joseph's Grammar School in South Camden and Beauty Culture School. She was active in the Church choir and Sodality, having served as president. She was the widow of Joseph Martin Kubiak, whom she married October 12, 1935 in Camden.

They lived a few years in Woodbine, NJ where she opera beauty shop. She and her husband, who owned the Williamstown Feed Co, moved to Fairview, Camden in 1939. She was active in St. Joan of Arc Church, and attended Mass daily, until moving to Haddon Heights in 1984. Mrs.

Kubiak is survived by her son, Ronald M. Kubiak of Fairview; her daughter, Dorothy K. Moran and son-in law, John J. Moran, Jr. of Haddon Heights; two grandchildren, Christyn Moran Newman of Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY, and Jaimee Moran of Philadelphia.

She is also survived by her sisters, Lucille Bembenek of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Leona Pawlak of Haddon Heights, NJ; 25 nieces and nephews, and 50 grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her husband on December 13, 1965, and later by her sisters; Sophia Piotrowski, Mary Andraka, Jane Szkudlarek, Sr. M. Sylvia, CSSF, and Anna Toczylowski.

He was born in Folsom, moved to Atlantic City, graduated Atlantic City High School Class of 1946, served his country honorably in the United States Army as a First Lieutenant, then went into the insurance business, specializing in bonding. After the war, he moved to Philadelphia and has lived in Haddonfield for the past 37 years. He is survived by his wife, Janet Mannering of Haddonfield; his sons, John R. Mannering, Jr.

(609-965-0357) MINIFRI, SR. THOMAS J. HACKETT. BERNICE Bernice Lawson Hackett, was born on August in Camden, NJ, to the late Raymond Turner Lawson and Anna Maria Smith. She was the youngest of nine children; three brothers and four sisters preceded her in death.

She was educated in the Camden Public School systemonreceived University for- demerly Glassboro State College. Bern taught in the Camden Public Schools for forty-one years, teaching elementary grades and later reading. Bern met and married Holton on E. Hackett of Philadelphia, PA. Her church activities included: Sunday School and formative early religious training, including adult years until marriage she was a member of Bethel A.M.E.

Church. Where, she along with Russell Pierce and James Burch organized a singing group called the "Sharps and a member of Tindley Temple United Methodist Church; member and officer of the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa Sorority, Eta Chapter, and the Hytryk and Bidders Bridge Clubs. Bern was a kind and generous person whose thoughts were always of others. She loved her family and her community, but above all God.

To her family she was a great person. Bern and her sister Blanche would spend the better of each day laughing and talking on the phone reminiscing about their childhood and early adult life in Centerville. She leaves to mourn her passing, two special nieces Mary Ann Wilmer of Washington, D.C. and Sydnee Bowman Jones of Laurel, Maryland, one sister Blanche L. Pierce, Camden, NJ, and many loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, two very special friends Riletta L.

Cream and Darlene B. Smith and many other friends. HAINES, RAYMOND M. JR. Passed away on February 6, 2002 at Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Cherry Hill, NJ after a brief illness.

Age 86 years, of Pennsauken, NJ, formerly of Cinnaminson, and Palmyra, Haines was a Veteran of WW11, a member of the South Jersey Camera Club and retired as a Quality Engineer from RCA Victor of Camden, NJ after over 40 years. His most cherished memories were always his childhood growing up in Riverside, playing sports at Riverside High LaSalle University (where he graduated) and trips to Florida with Margaret, good times spent with his family and friends, cold manhattan and of course, fishing. He lived in Riverside for 84 years. He worked at Kaiser Metal Co. of Bristol, PA for 25 years and for 10 years worked at RCA in Cherry Hill, NJ.
