BONNICK, Elmer C. Age 86 of Riverside, passed away on Tuesday November 21, 2006 at Lourdes of Burlington County, Willingboro. Mr. Bonnick was born in Philadelphia and had been a longtime Riverside Resident. He was a Parishioner of St.

Peter's Church in Riverside and had been a member of the St. John Neumann Knights of Columbus, Council in Delran. Elmer had worked at Riverside Metal the Camden Shipyard and as a maintenance man at Campbell Soups in Camden for 29 years before retiring in 1985. Mr. Bonnick is the widower of his late wife Rita Bonnick (nee Baiada) and is survived by his children Charles "Butch" his wife Sandra Bonnick of Palmyra, Rosalie Bonnick of Riverside and Peter wife Stacey Bonnick of Carlisle, PA.

Mr. Bonnick is the proud Grandfather of Donna Britt, Charles Bonnick, Peter, Bonnick, II and GreatGrandfather of Paige Yauger, Kirstin Bonnick and Charles Bonnick, III. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 am at St. Peter's Church Bridgeboro Hancock Sts. Riverside.

After a very active and service oriented life, Curt passed after a prolonged illness on November 20, 2006. He was one of the first African Americans to become an Eagle Scout in the state of New Jersey. After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School, he volunteered for military service in the US Army. Curt was honorably discharged in 1945 having received five battle stars from the European Theatre of World War II. Upon returning to the USA, Curt married Doris E.

Simms. Curt was very active in the VFW. He served for many years as Adjudant the Clarence Hill Post 1297 of Camden, New Jersey. Curt's early religious expe- NJ. As an adult he joined with Grace Temple Baptist Church in Lawnside, where he served as chairman of the Trustee Board.

He was also instrumental in building the new church. For many years, Curt was a community leader in Lawnside and Camden County. He was active in the YMCA, Community Chest, and the Boy Scouts. He received the Silver Beaver, the highest adult volunteer award in Scouting. Curt's final church home was Tabernacle Baptist Church in Burlington, NJ.

He 1 is survived by his wife, Doris E. Jackson; his, sons, Curtis G. Jackson, Jr. of Queen Creek, AZ, Bruce W. Jackson of Bala Cynwyd, PA, and Bryan D.
