Let us know by using the Owner's hopes high for Cherry Tree Diner To share restaurant news, call Christina Mitchell at (856) Savor This 3 By CHRISTINA MITCHELL Courier-Post Staff Mike Corinthios plans a Dec. 13 opening date for his Cherry Tree Diner, on the Haddonfield Road site of the former Capuano's. The 24-hour operation will have baking on premises, says Corinthios, whose family once owned the Gateway Diner in Westville.

The self-described "diner brat" will run the operation with his father, John, and his uncle, Elias Bitsikas, both Greek immigrants. John, a contractor, has worked on plenty of diners over the years, and has overseen the renovation of the new place as well. Why open yet another diner in Cherry Hill? The Diamond Diner is gone, Corinthios reasons, and the increase in nightspots nearby means people will be hungry for breakfast in the early-morning hours. But the 35-year-old also sees potential across the street as well, with the commercial and residential development expected at Garden State Park. Light bites: Oasis Grill has opened at 2431 Church Road in Cherry Hill, in the small strip center just behind Benash Liquors.

Menu is Mediterranean and Moroccan with entrees starting at $6.25, as well as a variety of sandwiches and salads. Takeout is available. Call (856) 667-8287 Want music with your coffee?
