Pete attended St. Joe's Prep and Merchantville High School where he played basketball and football. He also attended Muhlenberg College and was an Air Force Veteran.

He worked in the automotive business with Rice Holman and DeSimone Cadillac for 35 years. He later worked for Delaware River Port Authority, and after retiring, enjoyed working for Inglesby Funeral Home. He was a long time member of the Pennsauken Lions Club, on the board of directors of the, Brooks Irvine Football Club and was inducted into the SJ Coaches Football Hall of Fame. He was an avid member of Merchantville Country where he held the course record (66) for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family at their Long Beach Island home, and watching college football.
