Beck resided in Medford since 1972. He was in the Air Force Reserves during the Vietnam War. Mr. Beck was employed by Seiberlich Trane, New Castle, DE. John was a collector of model trains and lighthouses.

He also enjoyed doing home improvements and listening to music. He is survived by his parents, John Ruth Beck of Philadelphia; his wife Betty Ann Beck; a son and daughter-inlaw, Kevin and June Beck of Landing, a daughter Natalie Beck' of Medford; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Lynn Beck of Churchville, PA; a sister and Becky and Michael in Spinelli Langhorne, PA; and his mother Elizabeth Woolbert. A memorial mass will be held at on Friday, April 25, 2003 from St. of the Lakes Roman Catholic Church, 40 Jackson Medford, NJ 08055. There will be no calling hours.
